And now hes lifting his leg and peeing on things in the house- why? He has been house broken for gosh a good 5 months now i would say- maybe a accident here and there but hardly ever- I finially have got daisy house broken and she hasnt had a accident in the house in over a week! yaahhh .. But now Bentley has started peeing in the house and has peed 3x on the kids beds- and lifting his leg and peeing on things on the floor- why????? He hasnt done this in months and months. He use to "mark" before he was neutered but he never marked in the house again after he was neutered not even once-
What could cause him to do this? Is it maybe Daisy is going into heat so hes all werid like this now? I did mention in anther post that he was peeing on her pee ( out side of coarse) and he is constantly smelling her butt- I dont know what a dog in heat looks like but she acts normal and doesnt look any differnt down there- I guess im looking for her being swollen? but she isnt- No she isnt spayed yet she will be but vet wants to hold off for some blood work and her last boosters- She is 6 months old but with her being very ill when i got her with coccida she didnt even start getting her vaccines untill like 3.5 months old. i think it was.
But if Daisy is in heat, could this be causing bentley to act like this? i cant even trust him like i could before. I was having problems with daisy not catching on to house training but she has finially caught on and hasnt had a accident in over a week! im sooo proud of her- but now bentley is acting this way- and i dont know why- He is such a good dog, and nver would think he would be doing this- and peeing on my kids beds- he jumps up and pees and then jumps down- and has done this like 3-4 times the past week- even after i wash the blankets he will go back up and pee again- He dont pee on my bed- he sleeps with us and has since we got him. What should i be doing to get him back on track? any help would be appreciated.... theresa
I think I read this topic somewhere else as well, but maybe I'm just going nuts!!!
He is definitely marking because Daisy is in heat. Even neutered dogs are aware when a female is in heat and will mark to claim her and their area. Pretty sure you said Daisy is getting spayed soon, so that should take care of the problem. :)
