I recently bought some beef bones at the grocery store actually labeled for dogs. Mine have never had real beef bones. I hear that cooking them makes them more likely to splinter in the digestive system, but raw may give worms or cause diarrhea. A lady in the store said she microwaves them for 2-6 min and feeds one to her dog every night. Cooked or raw - what is best?
When we have tbone steaks my husband always cuts the bone off the meat and bbq it right along with our steak for a few minutes then gives them each a bone. They love it. I havent had any splinter when they get most the meat off and chew on the bone for alittle bit i do throw it away. I hate giving them bones but husband insists on giving them each a bone. tbone bones are all we give them- so far weve had no problems. But i have read many posts on here that raw is the way to go- but i cant give them raw meat- ughh! so i have hubby cook it for a few mintues so its isnt raw...

Why no raw meat tapetty? Cooked bones can splinter horribly, and can end up ripping the insides, or slicing the mouth and throat. Raw is always best! Tell your hubby that if he cares about their health, he will give raw. ;)
Dogs cannot sin; that is a privilege exclusively for humans.
