My husband and I got a rescue dog (3 months, 25 pounds) two weeks ago. Last Monday she had her first vet visit and got a complete check up and shots and also worm medication because she had worms. She finished her worm medication on Thursday. On Saturday morning the dog vomitted up all her food and then vomitted two more times that day. She continued by vomitting again today. She can't seem to keep her food down. She is barfing up anything she gets in her stomach :( We tried feeding her boiled rice but she has barfed that up as well. We are very worried. Does anyone have any idea as to what's going on? Thanks.
any diarhea? My pup had coccida and was VERY SICK for months because of coccida. mainly she had diarhea tho but also did throw up - i would think a trip to your vet would really be a good idea. Sick puppys need to be seen my a vet asap-
overeating is a common cause of occasional vomiting in puppies, especially if they follow eating with playing. feed smaller meals more frequently if this becomes a problem. vomiting immediatly after meals could indicate an obstructionof the esophagus. repeated vomiting could indicate that the dog has eaten spoiled food, undigestible objects, or may have stomach illness. meanwhile, withhold food and restrict water. consult ur vet immediatly if ur dog vomits a foul substance resembling feacal matter(indicating a blockage in the intestinal tract) or blood(partially digested blood resembles coffee grounds)or if there is projectile or continued vomiting. sporadic vomiting with poor appetite and generally poor condition coul indicate internal parasites or a more serious internal disease that should also be checked by ur vet. well i hope ur baby gets better and i was any help good luck and let us know how ur baby is doing wont u
