My Italian Greyhound somehow got a hold of a small jar vaseline and licked half of it out of the jar. He is going to be OK but he is making grease spots every where he sits for long periods of time. I had to get some Palmolive to get the grease stains out. He is the only dog in the world I think would actually find vaseline good enough to eat. He is such a doe head sometimes.
Vasaline is not a problem for dogs, my dog once ate a swedish kaviar tube, thats metal.. and a cooking pot.. so vasaline is not going to hurt your dog in anyway.. Otherwise it's just gonna lube his intestance hahaha..
Don't treat your dog human, it will only treat you like a dog.
ohh they love anything like that . i use bag balm on my pups after the ears are done also on any scratches scrapes and yes they LOVE to eat it. Ginger ate cans of it ~YUCK~ what dogs will eat never ceases to amaze me.
I remember reading dabbing a little vaseline on a cat's nose was a way to deal with/prevent hair balls. So your IG was just self-medicating for hairballs! (as if an IG would ever have that kind of problem!)
LOL - I once had a pit/boxer mix that ate an entire plastic bottle (about 250) of ROLAIDS. We didn't figure it out until the next day, and when we took her to the vet, he didn't seemed concerned. She was just real runny for a few days.
