I was wondering if anyone knows when a golden retriever is full grown? My golden is a year and is still small. I would like to know if she will grow anymore, or is she going to stay this size? Please let me know! Thank you!
How large is she? About 1-1.5 years she will stop growing, but she will continue to fill out a bit more up until 2 years old or so…It varies from dog to dog when growing stops. Do you happen to know size of parents as that can be a good indication?
He's your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You're his life, his love, his leader. He will be faithful and true to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion
Goldens are much larger now than when I was young. My dad had a hunting golden much the same size as yours--about twenty inches at the shoulder and 60 pounds. He was also a dark mahogany color, much like an Irish Setter. He was the greatest hunting dog ever and great with all kinds of animals and kids. He died thirty-five years ago and I still miss him.
If it's any consolation, your dog will probably be healthier and live longer at a smaller size and weight.
Your dog might be younger than you thought. They mature at around a year and a half, maybe more. Your dog also may not be purebred. She might have part of a smaller breed dog in it's blood. Either that or his growth was stunted. Did you feed him puppy food? Did he usual stay in a crate maybe?

She is registered, along with her littermates and family tree, in AKC. There is a little concern that her dad is also her mom's grandfather. I do not know if that means anything? We also did not get her until she was four months. We do not know what had gone on during that time. She has always been given puppy food my me. She was also in a crate for about a week during the night.
Like getting wider. You may not be able to tell b/c of her fur but younger dogs look thiner. She will lose the gap in between her ribs and stomoch (or it will be not as easy to notice) that is what filling out means.
