Dick van pattens natural balance dog food? anyone used this? my 6 month old pup seems to like it! but i haven't heard much about it i checked it out and it is not on the recall list and i called them and they said they are not associcated to menu foods in anyway....should i take her from the nutro to the natural balance?
I saw natural balance in a magazine add and decided to go to their website. It looked like a good food to me. We don't feed it but the ingredients looked good. I was trying to see how expensive it was and it was very reasonably priced; i've been trying to switch our dog's food. I'm not sure if nutro is better or worse than natural balance but if your pup likes the natural balance I think I would feed that. IMO. Could anyone else give a better answer about nutro?

I like the Natural Balance and the dogs did too. The problem for me was in FINDING it locally. My local pet supply store owner has brought in the Canidae for me and is now going to add the Natural Balance. She has discontinued most of the foods & treats for both dogs and cats.
Have to give her kudoos as I provided her with the food grading system AND an updated list of the recalled foods..which she had been checking herself daily.

We feed all of our Toy Poodles (14 adults and 3-11 week olds) Natural Balance. We've been very pleased with it. We also add things to it for variety, but it is a reasonably priced, upper end food. They even have a couple varieties for sensitive stomachs, diet and as said it is a life stages food.
Although I agree it is a great food, I bought some (before I switched to raw--IMO, the best way to feed), stored it in an air-tight container and found pantry beetle larvae in it almost right away. Yuck.
