You can brush your dog's teeth. There are doggy toothbrushes and pastes. You should have them cleaned by a vet once a year. Another sugestion would be to purchase teeth cleaning tools from catalogs, internet, etc and you can scrape the tartar off with the tool. We use cleaning tools along with hydrogen peroxide along with weekly brushing.
Our vet charges about $125 for a cleaning.
I like him a lot better than I like most people. To you he's a dog. TO me he's an adopted son who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly. I have no problem with any of these. <
