I am really curious as to what fostering is! Do you keep the pets at your house? What kind of things do you get to do for the fosters? How often do you get to have a foster dog? Sorry about all the questions, but i am gonna try and convince my parents just to let me try and foster because i love helping animals. So please if you could explain to me what fostering is and what you have to do to foster, that would be very helpful. Thank you sooooooo very much. :)
Oh and i almost forgot, do you have any pictures of your fosters and your doggies? I would love to see them. :) I need to post pictures of my doggy on here again! God bless! -mypoodlerocks
Fostering is basically like having another dog, except it is temporary. They live with me, I treat them like my own, and eventually they are adopted. I take in special needs fosters, but rescues often need fosters for anything...puppies, adult dogs, etc. If they do not know obedience, you should work on tricks and commands with them. I generally have 3-4 but there are numerous people who only have 1 or as many as they can take. You are responsible for bringing them to adoption areas (we have them every Sat.) and home if they are not adopted. I believe most places provide you with food and a crate (if necessary), but that is something to check into before committing. I do have pics of them, just not a photobucket or something like that so occasionally I will post one in my little pic box under my name. :)
