If you are referring to the 2c strain, vaccines companies knew about it for awhile now, but claim it is still covered by their current vaccines. sounds to me like it could be the 2b strain fiasco all over again. when it emerges and started to spread, vaccines companies insisted that their old formula provided protection against it even thought it was obvious to all it did not work properly. It took them a while to finally reformulate their products to be really effective against this strain.
Hopefully they have learned their lesson and already started working on a vaccine for it. In the mean time, expect a surge in "unexplained" cases of parvo.
