I have three dogs, two labs and one blue heeler mix. The labs are female and the heeler is a male. The females, believe it or not are not doing the damage to the lawn. The male squats when pees and he is killing various spots of grass in the backyard. All of the dogs are taking the Green Grass pills to neutralize their urine acid. Can't seem to control the burn spots. Need any advice as to what I can give the dogs to prevent and/or lessen the burning. Any help is appreciated.
I have several dogs and the only product that I found that works to prevent lawn burn is a product from Drs. Foster and Smith called "Lawn Guard". I use the treats and they really work very well. The only time they were not very affective was one summer a few years ago when it was extremely dry, then I did notice some burn spots, but otherwise they work great and I would highly recommend them.
