Hey everyone... i got a few questions that i would like to throw out to everyone.. Looking for some suggestions and hopping that someone has came accross the same issue that i am having.. i have 2 cats, one if 7 years old and the other is 3 years old.. the younger cat seems to have a problem with dandruff in the winter time. i brush both of the cats often but only the younger one has the dandruff problem. is there anything that i can do to get rid of the dandruff on her? also have a situation about littler box.. we recently wanted to try some new litter for the cats. they have always used the clumping clay litter but we bought some new beaded litter that is surpose to evaporate the urine, thought it woud be a better idea but the cats will not use the litter box. i had to place some of the old litter on top and even then they kick all of the littler onto the floor.. anyone got any suggestions as to how i can get the cats used to the new litter.. my oldest cat also scratches the wall beside the litter when he is done.. is there anything that i could put on the wall to stop the scratching.. that is the only place he ever scratches and now he is peelig the paint from the wall..
sorry i had so many questions but figured it would be best to include everyting in this one message..
For the dandruff: What are you feeding? Sometimes a better quality food will help. Also if this is an indoor cat and you are running your furnace that can also be the problem. Can you put a humidifier in the main room of the house?
Litter: Some cats just get used to their litter and don't like it when you change it. You might need to continue mixing the old with the new for a while.
Cat scratching: Can you hang a piece of cardboard up where the cat is clawing the wall? They also make sisal rope scratchers that hang up.
