Their is a dog that I walk that is the same breed as Angel, but he seems to be more bulkier and taller, And Angel is small and skinny compared to him. Angel is the weight she is supposed to be for a toy poodle, she is not skinny or heavy at all. She is just right, but Baileys weight is fine as well, but he is much taller than her. Is Angel a runt or is it just the fact that Baileys parents are different and could have been taller than Angels parents? Please just let me know, I will probably get pictures of Angel and Bailey together, so that you can see their height differenc. But I don't have any pics just yet.
My suggestion go to www.akc.org and research the height/weight standards which have been established by the National Club and adopted by the AKC. I'm not familar w/poodles. But I do know there is height/weight differences in the Irish Setter world.
I like him a lot better than I like most people. To you he's a dog. TO me he's an adopted son who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly. I have no problem with any of these. <
There are all different builds though, depending on how well to the standards they are bred. http://www.akc.org/breeds/poodle/index.cfm I like the way my boy is built. Not too leggy, his torso is a nice length very proportioned. His muzzle and eyes are also what I like in toy poodles.
He is tiny, but they can come smaller. Which actually freaks me out to visualize...
15 inches from the bottom of her paws to the top of her head.
Her legs are 11 inches long
12 inches long from chest to bum. LOL
And Angel weighs about 10 lbs.
Ok so I am trying to figure out how to post pics of her, but I don't have any pictures of Angel and Bailey together. And I want to download newer pictures of Angel. Maybe I will try posting pictures on dogster :)
