I have a 6 month old Boston terrier female, she has spots all over her, the hair has kinda fallen out a little where the spots are at, & the spots are bright red. As of yesterday she has diareah. I have other pets too but none of them have ever been this way. Is it Mange, food allergy, anyone know?
Well... she eats Puppy chow healthy morsels, there is no scaley skin, just puffy redness. Im gonna try & take a picture tomorrow & post a link to it. And the Diareah is gone, I think she may have gotten into some human food or something that upset her tummy. Skin still irritated though. Thanks for all of your help!
Are the spots circular in shape? It could possibly be ringworm. I would watch where you touch your dog, also, because ringworm can be transmitted to humans. Many dermatophytes can cause skin irritation. Definitely take your pooch to the vet, so they can do a skin scraping and find out what it is for sure.
Little Pups cannot handle Puppy chow because it contains a whole lot of corn they get diariah from the corn which then can dehydrate them, alot of Puppy foods contain corn I feed my Pom pups Nuti Source lamb and rice. it keeps them from getting diariah. and healthy little pups.and the spots I would try a bath with Anti itch Hydrocortisone shampoo, and then use Sulfodene skin medication for dogs Hot spots it works good for my dog.If that doesnot work take them to vet. good luck hope this will help you.
