As if the "teacup" chi/yorkie/maltese/poodle/pom thing isn't bad enough...now there are "teacup" cats being bred! I cam across a website that bred them when searching for my new Himalayan kitten, and I just googled teacup persian and several sites came up. Why would you want such a tiny cat...I can understand wanting a tiny dog more than wanting a tiny cat. Strange...
Well, I know someone that takes or did take her cat everywhere...maybe it'll be the new hot! craze. Who knows. As if the persian isn't unhealthy enough(with the breathing problems) they have to make it miniature too...idiots..
Silver chinchillas typically run a small size. Most breeders try to breed for more size in them. There are a number of people out there that want small and cute and some people will try to breed for that. Not healthy in my opinion. Most people complain that my kittens are too big. They are big because we feed them well and they are also healthy. That is what is important to us. A healthy happy kitten that will adjust well to its new home.

Yes! I breed persians and have had a couple of people contact me asking for teacups 2-3 pounds. I'm sorry, I have a hard time believing that's even possible. My boys are BIG and cobby and that is how they should be. I am convinced those teacups are just sickly runts people are suckering buyers into getting. No such thing. Sorry.
