Hi all! We are getting our new yorkie puppy in about three weeks. We have been hearing a lot about using a pack and play (a baby's portable crib/playpen) for him. Has anyone heard of this/use one? Please let me know, thank you!
A Pack N Play is a lot more expensive than a small kennel would be.. And I agree, they could easily chew their way out.. Plus, if they potty in that, it could soak in.. Our wire kennels have a tray that just comes right out.. All I have to do is get some paper towels on top of the pee, pull those out, pull the tray out, hose it down with some cleaner, and its ready again.. SUPER easy if you ask me.. Especially compared to cleaning a pack n play if you don't have a "waterproof crib pad".. And, as we've learned with Abby, sometimes that's not even enough!!
yes i bought one of these pack and play puppy playpens for Daisy. It looks just like a human baby playpen but the only diffence really i seen is that the dog one has a zipper at the end so you can unzip it when your pup/dog gets older and can get in and out to sleep in it or whatever. I didnt use a crate with Daisy - i used this puppy play pen and she slept in it for months. and i still have it even tho i dont use it anymore incase we go some where and it can be a portable dog kennel or bed so they cant get out. I think i paid 120.00 fcr mine at petsmart gosh 7 months ago- But it really worked great and i had it in my room so Daisy could see out ( it has the net sides) and see us in our bed while she was in hers-
