I was just wondering how everyones pets got along at home. My one cat Taco (a rescue) is a complete grouch towards Mollie, and towards Bo Bidden (the kitten). But she LOVES Rocky, always rubbing against him and purring. She gets mad when the other two come near her (most of the time) but if its just Rocky, she couldn't give a care in the world. Do cats AND dogs live as a pack/family?
i have 3 dogs and 2 cats. when we brought salty home 2 years ago she hated everyone. it took about 6 months for us to acclimate her into living with other animals and now she gets along with everyone. she still had a slight issue with thunder, but i think they had a summit meeting recently and get along wonderfully now.
thunder adores chasing the cats around and making them mad. he wouldnt ever hurt them but i think he enjoys pissing them off. the cats are pretty good at smacking him upside the head when they have had enough and it keeps him in line.
but for the most part they all get along wonderfully of which i am greatful because our house is so tiny it is of utmost importance that they do.
Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.
Everyone but Cole(cat) get along in my house. Cole hates Smokey(cat). Henry (cat), Cole, Wiley and Blaze will sleep together at times. Smokey loves Wiley but Blaze teases him so he hides when Blaze is in the house! LOL sorry about this being confusing!
Poppy it is a good idea to raise them together but beagles can be rough so you may want to watch the bunny pretty close as Poppy get older and rougher. Actually Beagles where breed to hunt rabbits.
Nobody seems to get along at our house. I am hoping that time will make the 2 dogs friends, but currently, Faeden loves KC, KC HATES Faeden. The 2 cats are constantly trying to kill each other. It makes for a very harmonious afternoon.
Seriously, the only near heart attacks I have are with my miniature schnauzer and my sugar gliders. She isn't exactly a delicate little flower gal. Tends to forget her size, so I have to be very careful there.
She doesn't want to eat or injure them, but one of her nick names isn't "train wreck" for nothing. Hard to stop that solid little frame once it's in motion.
Belive it or not we have 4 dogs and one cat.Raden is a pit bull/ mastiff mix, Razor is a sheperd/ chow mix, Jade is a American pit bull and Quennie is our newest addidtion. She is our 12 week old blue American pit bull puppy. We've bottled fed her snice she was a few weeks old.All our dogs get along great and Jade took Quennie in as her own. The cat Faith owns the house. The dogs don't mess with the cat and even Jade the pit bull plays with her!OH I forgot we also have one cockataiel and four gerbeils
Mickey (Schnauzer/Westie mix) loves Dax and Tommy, tolerates cats
Tommy (standard poodle) likes Dax, likes Michi, loves Mickey, likes to lick the other cats
Dax (foster dog, shepherd mix) likes the other dogs, tolerates the other cats, is afraid of Michi
Oscar (siamese mix) adores the dogs, tolerates the cats
Noodle (siamese mix) tolerates everyone except Michi, who he hates (especially when I'm petting her)
Michi (siamese mix) loves Tommy and spends a lot of time grooming him, hates Noodle (especially when I'm petting him), torments Dax and tolerates everyone else, except when she's in a bad mood--then watch out!
We have two dogs and four cats. Three of our cats stay in our master bedroom closet because they don't like the dogs. We have one cat that isn't afraid of the dogs at all. In fact he gets worked over all of the time by our Cocker Spaniel. He lets her have it when he gets tired of her. I usually find them sleeping on the bed together when they get tired.
My goal in life is to be as good of a person my dog already thinks I am.
