I don't see why you shouldn't do it, but it may take some time to make it everday. Maybe you should have some xtra dry dog food in a can just in case their is a day you don't want to make your dogs food and you can give him the store bought kind. What I do with my dog is put regular dog food in her bowl, with some carrots, or strawberries,or chicken peices, green beans, apple pieces, potatoe pieces, I normally only give her fruit, vegetables, some sort of meat along with her dog food. Remember not to over feed your dog, you don't want them to become over weight, it is not good for their health and it decrease their life span.
Also about once a month I give her some chees or regualr yogurt, but you have to be careful not to give your dog to much dairy stuff becasue it creates some sugars in their body and we all know too much sugar can increase the chances of getting diabeties. Good luck making the food, I think it is wonderful that you are going to be taking in the time to make your doggy healthy food.
