Called the vet a few minutes ago to check on Max. She said he was holding his own but very weak. She said he would try to stand when she came close to him but his back legs were wobblie. They will continue IV's through the week-end and will check everything going on with him again Monday. Please say a prayer for my baby. Mandy and Tina have looked and looked for him. It is so sad. They grieve just like we do, and they miss their big brother. Will keep you posted as we hear. Pray for me too, I am a wreak.
Oh yeah. They did a complete blood panel. Will redo it Monday. I was afraid I through him into pancreatis because I had started cooking for them through all this recall mess. I cooked really blanded diets. Rice, chicken, beef with some vegetables, but was really carefel. My vet just told me that it was not my fault that schnauzers sometimes can nearly look at food and get it. They are really prone to it. I know he is getting old and I expect miracles, but, God this is hard.
Okay so Max has pancreatitis then? That is life threatening but some animals do recover. My corgi got it while eating kibble dog food so your veterinarian is right it can happen without a fatty meal. Poor Max...that is incrediably painful.... Prayers for Max..
