I was watching one of my many *favorite* movies last nite, aliens. one of my favorite movie quotes came up. the marines are on the transport ship & they are being 'dropped' onto the planet & hudson says 'express elevator to hell-GOING DOWN!' another fave of mine is from the princess bride: 'my name is inigo montoya. you killed my father. prepare to die.' everyone chime in, this'll be fun!
One that I like is from pirates of the carribean, where Elizabeth says to Jack Sparrow "There will come a time when you have a chance to do the right thing" then Jack says "I love those moments, I like to wave at them as they pass by", just simple quotes from those movies. :) Also from Happy Feet, the only reason I liked that movie is the mexican penguins. :)
Men in Black: " Elvis in not dead. He just went home." 1500 years ago, everybody "knew" that the earth was the center of the universe. 500 years ago, everybody "knew" that the earth was flat. And 15 minutes ago, you "knew" that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll "know" tomorrow.
The Voyage Home: Spock: "Your use of language has altered since our arrival. It is currently laced with, shall we say, more colorful metaphors, "double dumb-ass on you" and so forth." James Kirk: "Oh, you mean the profanity?" Spock: "Yes." James Kirk: "Well that's simply the way they talk here. Nobody pays any attention to you unless you swear every other word."
Empire Records: Joe: "Where's the money, Lucas?" Lucas: "Joe, the money is gone." Joe: "I know it's GONE, where's it gone to?" Lucas: "Atlantic City." Joe: "Atlantic City?" Lucas: "Yeah." Joe: "What's it DOING in Atlantic City?" Lucas: "Recirculating!"
But my favorite quote fo all time is something a friend said to me one night while he was ranting about his girlfriend: Ryan: "What does she think I do in my hotel room all night dance around in a pink tutu playing with my ----?"

Due to material, I can't post The opening sequence to Trainspotting, Al Pacino in Scent of a Woman, The entire movie's worth of quotes in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas pretty much the same for The Big Lebowski...
There will come a time when you have a chance to do the right thing" then Jack says "I love those moments, I like to wave at them as they pass by",
and double ROFL at your last quote ruffian !
i dont really have any favorite movie quotes but whenever anyone asks my age i reply " as old as my tongue and a little older than my teeth" from the movie miracle on 34th street ( the original B&W one )
Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.
I could name soo many but one of my favorites is from Ferris Buellers Day Off, when the principal breaks into Ferris' house and the sister catches him there and thinks hes an intruder
Jeannie: Whoever is in the house, or still in the house, I'd like you to know that I've just called the police! So if you have any brains whatsoever, you'll get your a** out of my house real quick. I'd also like to add that I have my father's gun and a scorching case of herpes.
A friend of mine was staying in the hotel I work at and his girlfriend at that time was jerking him around and he needed to vent. So he called me on night upset becausse she said she was working, but ended up going out with her friends. Ryan didnt care that she had gone out it made him mad that she lied to him, expecially after he went to visit her at work, she is a bartender. So during his rant he said "what does she think I'm doing in here all night dancing around in a pink tutu playing with my -----?" Well at that point I started to laugh so hard that he started to laugh and was out of his funk.

Not that I'm downing "remember your best movie lines" thing but there is a clean language filter on the board. Circumventing it (even for fun contests) is unacceptable. If you have some favorite movie lines, try to think of some that don't involve swear words or make crude reference to body parts.
Now then. My favorites.
Shrek: You dense, irritating, miniature beast of burden, ogres are like *onions*!
The Princess Bride: YOu fell victim to one of the classic plunders, the first of which is: Never get involved in a land war in Asia ... but only slightly less known is: Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!! HAHAHAHA *drops dead*
Never trust a tall dwarf... he's lying about something.
