Hi everyone, haven't been on in a long time had my colon resection done and everything went well. They were able to do it laprascopic (sp), three little holes and I really haven't had any pain with this at all, in fact getting the stitches removed hurt more than anything but i do get real tired quickly. Had surgery on the 3rd of May, went home on the 7th of May, could have gone home on the 6th but I wanted to have solid food in me first just to be sure it would settle. Went to surgeon on the 14 of May and had stitches removed, told I was able to drive now but still not to pick anything up over 30 lbs., would not discuss going back to work until next visit. I was glad to hear about the 30 lb. limit as Cody weighs in at 22 lbs., I picked him up today for the first time since I have been home. He has been so good about not jumping on or at me, it is like he knows something was wrong. We also got the pathology report and the polyp was cancerous but had not penetrated the intestinal wall or anything and the three lymphnodes came back clean so since the walls were not penetrated they are not going to go back in and get more nodes to test. I do not need to have chemo or radiation and I am very thankful for that and for the fact that we got it before it did penetrate the walls. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and I'll be back soon, not sure when as our computer is downstairs and I am not making too many trips down there yet, want to save my energy for when company comes to visit and the everyday things that need to get done, but some day soon I will be back to normal. Thanks again.
