It's very hot where we live and the dog got many nuts aournd his neck and under his paws, I tried brushing him carefully but he begins to cry : (. My 21 yr. cousin loves dogs and worked for a groomer 4 quite sometime. My mom feels very comf. taking her dog to him because he is very sweet and loves animals, the dog loves going to his house too. Yesterday I took him over and I thought the best thing was to have him shaved. He kept his afro, long ears and his round tale but everything else is gone, I mean his hair is very short, he looks addorable. But he is been shaking a little and it seems that is itching in his butt area. What natural remedies can I give him to sooth the affected area. He is a very healthy dog. Your comments and ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have a poodle mix, who was just groomed on Wednesday. She takes about a week to adjust to temperatures and whatnot. She shakes off and on, so I just make sure there is always a blanket available for her to crawl under if she wishes. After a bit, your dog will become adjusted just fine and stop shivering.

In reguards to the itching, it could be that the dog was cut too short in a place and the skin is irritated.. or that there are fleas/flea bites. Maybe try a flea treatment, or a flea bath on the dog. Only do that though, if there are no open sores. :)

I have two mini poodles myself. If she is rubbing her bum on the floor. like the above person said, the groomer has either cut the hair on the anis too short or clipper burned hum. Try a little bag balm on its bum. It usually takes a few days at least to have the hair start growing and stop itching. Probably fine now. If she's cold put a t-shirt on her.
