lol, Where did all of your cats come from? Were they presents, adopted, pet store? Let's hear your stories! My Cats are Asha, a 1 1/2 year old longhaired Black and White cat that I rescued at a shelter where I used to work, it was a contracted shelter and they were supposed to euthanize or spay any animals that were pregnant. While I was working I found out they were going to do her next and I grabbed her and told them to give me one hour, my fiancee' came up and I started bawling because she was so sweet and very pregnant, he couldn't resist it when I put her in his arms. We took her home that night and one week later to the day, she delivered 5 kittens. Sadly none of the kittens made it but when we told the shelter about the kittens not making it they wanted me to just bring her in but we decided that we could not let her go back there and so we brought her in, adopted her and then got her fixed. And she has been with us for almost a year now. My other cat is Tiocy, a grey spotted tabby/Siamese mix, We owned her mother and we lived in the country and my mom never got her animals fixed, she came home pregnant and gave birth two 4 kittens, after 3 weeks she had pushed this kitty away and she had gotten very weak, my mom told me if I could save her, I could have her, So I started raising her. She is my baby and she will be 8 years old in September. She has moved with us many times and my fiancee' loves her and so do my kids. She is by far the most spoiled cat I have ever saw.
My cats are Mittens, a black and white longhaired female. she's now 4 and we've had her since she was about 8 weeks old. we got her from family friends when their cat had kittens. there were 5 kittens in the litter, and we knew right away that mittens was the one we wanted. My other cats Patches and Two-Tone, are white and black longhaired males. they're 3 now, and we've had them since they were born. these two were 2 out of 5 kittens that Mittens had when she accidently got pregnant. I begged my parents to let me keep Patches, and Two-Tone was supposed to go to a family friends to be a mouser, but because he was so small, my parents decided to keep him too!
My cat Rocky is almost 5 years old, he is black and white and a bit overweight(!) well the way we got him was this. years ago we "rescued" a female black and white kitten from a pet store, we named her Jenny. now a year later she had four adorable kittens, they were Rocky and his twin brother Socks(who unfortunately got knocked over in 2002), Louie a grey and white male kitten(who went missing in 2001, we never found him) and a black kitten named Bonny, me and my sis called her Tiny-Tot because she was runt of the litter. Now only two of the litter survived, Bonny and Rocky. Bonny now lives with my auntie. Louie and Jenny went missing in 2001 and never came back. and poor Socks, we gave him to our other auntie(before she had him me and my sis called him Tiger) got knocked over and killed in 2002. Rocky is a very loyal and attention seeking cat. He waits in the hallway for me to come from school. All he miaws for is attention or food. he loves Iams cat buiscuits. And often sleeps at the end of my bed at nights. He will be 5 on August the first.
My cat was a stray that I took in when he was a kitten. He was pretty feral at first, but know he is a lovable warm ball of fur lol. He is a grey cat mutt and he is about 6-7 years of age. One of his favorite things to do is to stick his paw in his bowl of water and clean his face!
Zelda and Mario were accidents. My mom found Zelda in a litter that a lady had outside of Ralphs and Mario we got from under the house. *Vote for my Coconut and join my forum!* http://www.photowow.com/r/contest.asp?p=vote.asp&c=156&i=17456 http://184.108.40.206/users5/furkid/index.cgi
I adopted my kitty Lena when she was 7 weeks old from a local breeder. She is a rare breed.. A bengal... We have many farm cats and i had takin one in to be a house cat.. Something happened and we found her in my room dead, so my mom said that she would buy me a new kitten because i had, had such bad luck with all the kittens that i had takin in that were farm cats... We looked for about a week for the perfect kitten for me... We looked and found the breeder, researched about the breed.. and i fell in love... She is the most spoiled cat that i have ever seen... and she is BEAUTIFUL! Now i am going to be getting my Secound Bengal for my birthday this year so that my Lena will have a companion... She looks like a tiger... and my new kitten(Frannie) looks like a snow leopard... They are sisters... I have fell in love this breed and i can't imagine having another house cat...
I have 2 cat Speckles, who Barney brought home one day as a very small kitty. He came running up to the house with her in his mouth. I don't see her much she hides most of the time, she only really comes out to eat and sleep with Barney on the bed. She is all black with a few white speckles. Then there is Kitty, she adopted us about 6-7 months ago. She is young not too sure of her age. She had kittens about 2 weeks ago but all were still borns. She is gray tiger striped. She is a loveable little thing she will do anything of attention. She jumped in my dryer today when i was getting cloths out LOL. She sleeps on our closed in pourch in one of my husbands speaker boxes. She is also litter box trained and i never trained her.
i have 2 cats 1. scully - a tortoishell colored mutt cat. got her from the town pound. she was born and raised in an inner city shelter and was transported up to our town pound to have a chance at a home. i love torties so i took her immediately. she is the best. she will eat anything imaginable except chocolate. she begs at the dinner table worse than any of the dogs. she likes to sneak out of the house on occasion. but if i call her name she comes running home from wherever she is like a dog. actually her recall is better than any of my dogs !!! 2. fox - he was brought into our clinic as a bitty baby. he was living in a fox hole, hence his name, with his 2 siblings. the property owner called animal control to get them because he was afraid the foxes would eat them. the aco sprayed pepper spray into the hole, got the foxes out and was only able to get fox out. he was covered in maggot eggs. the only thing that kills them is betadine shampoo so we bathed him in that before we found out it is toxic to cats. so he coul've died but he made it thru the night without any maggots hatching on him. i felt so bad for him so i adopted him after a few weeks when he got nice and healthy. he is almost 3 and we have been having the urinary problems with him, infections and getting blocked , for the past 6 months. he will probably be getting the p u surgery soon if this doesn't resolve with the special food and water and cosequin
I have 3 foster kittens right now who are 5 days old. I love them but I'm tired because I have to feed them every two hours and that includes at night *yawn*. The grey kitten is Grace, the orange is Fred and the black is Boston. Grace opened her eyes two days ago and I think Fred is next in line. They are the most adorable things and are so tiny they'd fit in the palm of even a child's hand. It's going to be hard to give them up.
I used to have 3 cats, but had to rehome them when we moved to australia. Sammy (Sambo,sand-ball,fatty,boysie..whatever) he was the best cat you would ever meet in your life. I know everybody says it but Sammy would never hurt anyone!! My baby cousin used to pull his tail, stroke him roughly etc. and Sammy just used to lie down and try and fall asleep. He used to lie on me all the time and used to put his paws round my neck as if to hug me and he had to be carried and held like a baby. He would let anyone pick him up and he would fall asleep on anyone who sat on our sofa. Then there was Tea-pot(Sammy's sis) originally named tia!! She was more timid than sammy but she was still great and she dribbled when she purred! We got sammy and tea-pot from my best friends nan's friend that lived across the road from my best friend's nan. Their mother walked into their house heavily pregnant and she was beautiful. Pure white. We think the father was a Ragdoll cat, because sammy used to go all limp when you picked him up and he was SO laid-back it was unreal. The mother had sammy (light ginger and white very lovely and huge!), tea-pot(tortoishell coulor), silky(pure white with a grey dot on his head and snowy(pure white). My best friend's nan kept snowy and silky. Then there was Sassy (Sasskins, Bones,Sas,Weirdo...) she was weird but lovely. She just minded her own business and ran away from loud people, she wasn't a lap cat like sammy. We got Sassy from a man down the pub, I think her mum was wild. Sorry it's so long I get so caught up because i loved them so much. I miss them terribly. God bless you, my little babies .x.x.x.
Two - Hemi & Chrome (yes, hot rod fans both of them) Both were presents. Not sure why... Hemi is a "tiger tabby" - something about how his stripes go around his middle. Chrome - gray DSH, with white paws.
