ok I already threw it away because of the meldamine, I totaly forgot about that. so what is the best treats I can feed crystal(my chihuahua? I want her to be happy but still healthy. I herd that I can feed her baby carrots as a treat. would that be good for her?
Pinky, just like any other food start out with small amounts this way it won't bother your dogs tummy. Check out the sticky on dog treat recipes and if you have some time you can make some wonderful treats.
I seen that you asked about baby carrots. I feed them for treats all the time.
I like to use liver as a treat, they love it. I hate the smell of it so I slice it and grill it on tin foil until it is real done then it brakes apart pretty easy and they go nuts over it.
LOL Blaze gets so excited she will sit and shake then shake with both paws so she is in a beg position.
I just bought Merrick's "Breath Biscuits" for my dog, from Onlynaturalpet. They are very very small. I still break them in half, but that's because if a treat's not as small as my pinky nail, Bode will just run around with and then drop it. Spoiled...
When I was in the states last, I was suprised at how bad alot of the doggie treats were over there. Most treats over here are made on algea its real healthy stuff, the most common thoe are liver treats they cost almost nothing and last forever. It's the best in the world and they never get tired of them. I'll check and see if they ship to the states and if so where you can get them. People over here are health FREAKS.. everybody's jogging and healthy eaters and I'm not even gonna start on the how pariniod people are about giving thier dogs bad stuff. It's kinda creapy, but good it only means all the stores have real low prices and super healthy stuff.
If you think dogs can't count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then giving Fido only two of them.
Pinky, I like some of the others give raw baby carrots and Rocky loves them. He also likes, slices of raw apple which he gets once in awhile peeled. He likes red and yellow pepper slices when I am using them for a salad. Asked the vet and he was good with all of this, of course in moderation.
