Well my fiance has a huge...22lbs orange tabby cat. He has had him now for 4 years. The home he got him from he was an inside outside cat. I have a CFA Persian so when we moved in together we had them declawed and they are not allowed outside. Well Dudley( his cat) always tries to make a break for the door when it is opened. He has got out a couple of times, but we always get him back. Well thursday night he got out when he was taking the dogs out.(We also breed English Bulldogs). This time he ran off and we could not get him. It has been 4 days now and no sign of him. My fiance is heartbroken. This was his baby. I have been all over the neighborhood for the last 3 days, left food out,. and even one of my shirts by the driveway. Still no luck. I need some more ideas. Also he has been neutered and declawed.
cats are pretty smart, i'm sure he will show up, he is probably out chaing mice or something. But just in case, make flighers and put them up in your area and go for a drive around your area to keep a look out for him.
I have put up flyers and posted adds in the lost and found section of our newspaper. Still nothing yet. We are kinda out in the country, So i am hoping nothing bad has happened to him. He is a good boy and very friendly. So i hope somebody finds him. He is also microchipped, but doesn't really do me any good if they don't take him to get him scanned. I have offered a $500 reward for his safe return.
I feel for you. We rescued Max, who was an outdoor cat for the five years before we got him. Aside from his many other health issues, he is ALWAYS trying to get outside. He escaped a few years back. I put flyers in all the mailboxes, and also posted signs. About a month after he left, we received a phone call from a neighbor about 2 miles away. When we picked him up, he looked like hell, but recovered quickly. Best of luck, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
Once when my cat Citrus was missing for 4 days we told our negibhors and people we knew. The next mornig my negibhor called and said he heard a moaning sound in his garage that sounded like a cat. So when we went over I found Citrus stuck between 2 peices of wood. So you never know where they can be. Hope you find him. :)
P.S. Check your garage(if you have one)

Animal dealers are part of a complex network that supplies an endless stream of animals to research facilities. Each year, millions of companion animals in the United States disappear, and an estimated 2 million of these are stolen, often out of their own yards in broad daylight. Many stolen animals wind up in laboratories, where they are force-fed poisons, exposed to radiation, addicted to chemicals, or subjected to other painful procedures.
