This is the first heat in a year that my friends cat hasn't been bred and she's been acting weird lately. She stays away from the other cats (dad and 2 kittens), sleeps all day and is really grouchy. Do you think it has anything to do with her kittens still being there, my friend kept two, and I'm always there with mine. Or could it be that her "knight in shining armour" is neutered? We are kinda worried about her, she eats fine, poops fine, but her attitude has changed.
Would spaying her too be better? They neutered the male when Fluffy was pregnant with her last litter. And they kept a male kitten and a female. Will bro and sis breed? or mom and son breed? I'm thinking they get the male kitten neutered first.
It's best to get all of them spayed and neutered. An unspayed female will go into heat about every three weeks or so until bred. And an unneutered male will usually spray around the house and roam and fight if kept outside. Yes, siblings will breed, as will mother/son and father/daughter.
