I read that in the paper today. It showed a picture of his fiance holding the dog, and an insert picture of him holding her when she was a puppy. So sad. We really need to hold our boys up in prayer. I feel so bad for his family.

There was a show on Animal Planet about a month ago about a soldier that found a puppy that had been hit my a truck. He nursed it back to life, contacted his wife and they got the dog shipped back to the US. The soldier was supposed to arrive with the dog, but had to stay a bit longer. When he got home he was greeted by his family...and the puppy he had saved in Iraq.

This is all over the local news here. (New Hamoshire) Concord is just about 10 minutes from me so it's everywhere. Sad story but kudos to the family for bringing "HERO" HOME. :)

Thanks Donna. I too think it was a fitting tribute to a wonderful young man who gave all he had for us, and still had time for a small homeless puppy. My prayers go out to his family and his buddies in country.

I seen this on the new this morning. What a tear jerk-er! How sad for the family loosing there son and how happy to have a little bit of his love by the adoption the dog.

I'm praying for the day when all our troops come home for good, safe and sound and very soon!
