After reading an article in a national newspaper, regarding the barbaric treatment of bears in China, I am desperately trying to gain public support in order to get this practise banned. This is China's latest tourist attraction and when these poor bears can no longer endure these vile practises they are slaughtered and served up in the park's restaurant. I really do NEED your support, so please send me your feedback.
I dont agree with many practices in China, but find it highly doubtful that Americans are going to have any pull to tell another country about their laws. Would be like the Chinese petitioning Americans about our choices, I feel that as unfortunate as it is, these things need left up to those who live there.
People are like slinky's, not really good for much. But its still fun to push them down the stairs.
Slaughtering bears not new, wispa and WWF have both been fighting this practice. These places dop not see animals as we do, they do most of their slaughtering much the same way. If you want to help stop it support those groups.
Other cultures see animals differently than Americans do-- in India, it's common to bring along a picket full of stones to toss at the animals at the zoo. A tourtoise was killed like that. People were convinced he wasn't alive, so they pelted him with stones.
