My 9 week old golden retriever practically inhales his biscuits and doesnt chew them. Last night he sounded like he was choking and then spat some back up on the carpet before re-eating them! We tried putting a large stone in his bowl this morning to slow him down, but he still ate fast. He gets enough food every day so it isnt like hes starved!
I plan on getting the break-fast bowl for stump if he doesn't slow down, he has slowed down a little since we first got him. What I'm doing is teaching him when a hand gets near the food bowl he has to stop eating and wait until its gone, it slows down the eating process if you wouldn't mind doing that, plus, your puppy won't accidentally bite someone if their hand reaches in the bowl! :)
