THis is Marla my new grand-dog. My daughter adopted her from the shelter, they said she was a pit. I know she is the sweetest dog ever. She will lick you to death. She never meets a stranger, and she is not dog aggresive. Any tips from Pit owners....I have been doing my research for my daughter, so far Marla has been an angel, she was an owner turn in, because she got to big....she is house trained already. Here are the pics....
I agree - definitely not full pit. She is, however beautiful and looks extremely friendly. I used to own a pit/boxer mix and she was the most friendly, loyal and protective dog ever. Therefore, any advice I might have would be skewed. Anyway, I think that it is great that you have a new Granddog - Congrats!!
Aww, so cute. I agree; I don't think she is full pit. Something about the ears makes me think mix.. I don't know though - I might just be crazy. Beautiful dog though. Congratulations on your new grandfurkid

Thanks for the comments, I think she is a beauty too. I just can't understand how somebody could own such a pretty, sweet dog, they obviously kept her inside, cause she is house trained, and take her to the shelter, to possibly be destroyed. I'm so glad my daughter got her. Blair say's while she's at work, Marla just lays in her bed and watches tv till she gets home, and never makes a mess.
She is so cute i would never get rid of her if i were the old owners. Well atleast she is now in better hands. I think it could be a border collie. She must be at least a full half pittie b/c pitt is a more dominate trait from my understanding. So it could be border collie but my friend had a pitt mix they also got from a shetler and look just like her. Well good luck with the new pup :)
There is a chance she is full APBT. but without papers no one will ever know. I'm not going to go by her color and say she's not a APBT as i've seen several that look just like her. She looks like she may have longer hair but it's hard to tell from the pics. The ears mean nothing, here are some pics of Full ABPT with different kinds of ears.
what makes you think the pups are pit bulls and where did you find the picture
Stormy1203 was/is very active in the breed. If you click on the poster's ID (right under the picture on the left side of the post), you can see the history of the member's postings. She hasn't posted since 2008, so I doubt she will answer you.
The markings on this beautiful girl are very close to Boston Terrier markings. It is certainly possible that she may be part Boston, somewhere along the line. Border Collie struck me as well. She's a lovely dog, thankyou to your daughter for recuing her.
