Well, obviously something is wrong with him. I've ignored it a few times, its off and on. He'll do it for like a day and then be completely fine. Well basically just now he started throwing up and having diarrhea, He's in the bathroom right now. He have him seperated so hopefully he'll calm down. I'v e thought about taking him to the vet for this but then he'll stop. Any ideas on what it could possibly be? Today, I can think of factors that could have played in today, but that doesn't explain the other times. We took him to the lake house this afternoon, from 2-3, well, it was kind of hot but he had water and then what little shade I provided. He drank the lake water and then "swam" what bully breeds call swimming. But that shouldn't be it, my brother's dog swims and drinks the water all the time. I have no idea. He has all his shots, lyme vax, too. The only thing left is his neutering. Any ideas on what it could be? I'm at a loss right now this has never happened to me before.
I have recently read about how a lot of the health problems we have with our pets are related to commercially prepared dog foods. Not just the recent recall scare but all the commercially prepared brands. After watching the video on that site I have decided to try to limit my pets commercially prepared food intake. Even the Iams and Science diet that used to be good brands were bought out by Procter and Gamble and are now unsafe too. Before you take your dog to the vet go to the site and watch the video. I don't know the exact web address but google secret dog video.com. The fact that your dog swam just before this illness though could indicate he picked up something in the water that may not have affected the other dog. There is something in a lot of the fresh water in N.America that is bad for dogs, I read about it at my vet in a pamplet. Good luck, hope your baby is ok!
keep watching closely. Keep a journal if you need to. He could have an allergy to something that he is only near occassionally. He could be eating a plant outside. He could be drinking too much standing water, he could be responding to a certain treat you give. Or, like my mother's dog, he could get sick from not eating regularly. Keep a journal and map out the causality.

Oh..I'm so sorry! I think, YOu should take him to the vet. Wait! How old is this dog? I remember.. My dog had this issue and she was about 8 years old. We put her down.. She's happy where she is now. Her name was, Marley! So, I think, You should have the vet see what's going on..Maybe something he ate made him that way? Do you put him on a diet? What kind of food does he eat? Maybe, You know that poisoned dog food maybe got in his system.. My friend's dog got that! Luckily, Not my dogs that I had or have now.
~ Katey** How do you put a picture for your username? I would like to know! I'm new. Just joined today. As, You can probaly see.
Daisy does this also- she pukes and has diarhea and after puking off and on for a hour shes fine for a few days and then she does it again. And i did mention this to the vet but didnt have any answers to why this was happening and said she seems healthy- But didnt take her in for that so i dont think once again he took the time to really check into the problem of her being sick and having constant diarhea. Shes gaining weight and eating ok. shes playful and sleeps and goes potty- so i dont know what is wrong but its scary thinking something is wrong- The vet did say its time to test her for heart worms tho. I guess they ahve to be a certain age and i have to make a appt for them to take her blood but he said this didnt sound like heart worms - I dont know tho but its a uneasy feeling when your dog is sick and they cant tell you what is wrong, I worry just like i would with my childen when they are sick-
Okay, I SWEAR I looked for this thread over and over and could not find it, and now it pops up.ugh. Now to read through the responses. :P
Okay, now. He is on Chicken Soup, I know, it was on recall, but when I looked on their website they said only canned, and I don't feed canned, but once me and jeff both have jobs I'm either getting Life's Abundance or feeding RAW, I'm leaning towards RAW as of now. I hope he doesn't have heartworms, that would mean he had them since before we brought him home, or right after we took him home. He's almost 6 months, so I'm going to make an appointment for a neuter and I'll take him in for health check too and see if they have any ideas. I'll start keeping a record on when he does this, I don't know why I didn't do that the first time it happened. Well, I think those were all the questions, he hasn't done it since I posted this, I'm thinking it was the lake water, at least for this occurance.
