We've had Gracie a week now. She is such a sweet girl! She's going to make someone an awesome dog. (No, we're not keeping her). I think she'd prefer to be the only dog in the home so we're looking for someone without other dogs. However she is just fine with cats, so that's a plus. She is stuck to me like glue, follows me everywhere and is just such a lovebug.
She needs to gain about 5lbs our trainer said, she's just a little too skinny. She gets her cup of Natures Variety everyday and a marrow bone at night, as well as treats and such, but with all the exercise she is just not gaining any weight lol. So I guess I'll increase her NV.
I'm starting this week to call adopters to see if they are interested in her. It's sad to think of her leaving but like I said, she'll be an awesome pet for someone.
Corgi, the way she acts about certain things, and the fact she is just so skinny and you should have just seen the mats under her ears my God... I'm not sure things were totally 'right' at her house. Not to say they abused her but.. I think she was alone ALOT and not paid much attention to.. or they'd have noticed these things. So I am glad they gave her up. She is really starting to calm down, and she is not as crazy about food now. She used to inhale her meals so fast, now she eats like a normal dog. She doesn't counter surf or eat my fingers anymore either.
As much as I'd love to keep her, there are more springers that will need foster homes.
