Mere, yes, he is the one with the chainsaw and he is also the one in the other pic pulling the tree down.
I talk to him once a week. He tells me he appreciates our country and health care esp after working on that hospital, he said it is gross.
Also, a mom moment that made my well up a bit....
When he goes off base he (and others) take food from base, pringles, candy, etc to give to the locals...he said you never see them eat and they are so skinny. He knows it isnt healthy, but he wants to DO something.
Never thought he would do the whole empathy/compassion thing....*sniff*

We all owe a giant debt of gratitude to everyone serving in the military. Doesn't matter how you view the current world affairs, those who serve do so willingly and provide us with the freedom to express those views.
