decided to go to the mall today (hardly ever go here) and of course when I walk by the Puppy Store (or Puppy Mill as I like to call it) I have to look. Black and White Shih Tzus looked yellow and black. There was a 5 month old yorkie that already looked bigger than my 3 year old 7lb yorkie and had floppy ears. Just makes me sad. I actually saw a poster though that was titled "The Teacup Myth"..that I was very surprised about..surprised that they actually said there was no such thing as a teacup..

not sure who "pen" is but please direct your comments to me in the forum. please no longer message me, then change you name so i cant respond. that means you really dont support your views if you run and hide. i have said everything here on the forum, mistakes and all, and have learned from them. even now going to report this horrible puppy store and mill to my AG's office for false business practices, unfair consume business etc. so please, direct me in the room, who ever you are "pen".

For the benifit of those (and i dont know who you are bc you are only sending me p/m's and then deleting name bc i cannot reply I will say..........
When i mated my cocker with another cocker i was 19 years younger. That means I have learned a lot in those 19 year and have moved forward, i hope you (and i dont know who you are, but i think you should move forward too. So please no more p/m's from "pen".

Pugslee...you can block someone from sending you PM's
(of course if they keep changing the screen name it wont help though)
If they keep up, you can always report it to a mod with a copy of the PM's
People are like slinky's, not really good for much. But its still fun to push them down the stairs.

I am so very sorry. It is heart breaking to know when we have, unwittingly, supported puppymills. I have done it myself. I purchased, dog food, from a local pet store, who did not sell pets. Come to find out they had a "hidden" area with several puppies for sale. I wanted to puke!! I spend $400 a month on pet supplies. It just turned my gut knowing I was a part of supporting this crap. Before, and after work, I stood outside their door with flyers. The flyers did not "bash" the pet store, itself, but bashed puppymills who sell to pet stores. I didn't want to get sued. In any case, they did quit selling dogs (who really knows, though) so I keep up with the fliers a couple times a month. They hate me, and so do most of the folks I hand out a flier to.

All we can do is spread the word. You know what they say, if you throw enough sh^t to the wall, somethings gotta stick.

I would like to add, how very impressed I am with you. With the way you are handling this, as well as, the way you have dealt with responses on this forum (including my own). As a previous poster stated, not many stick around and care to learn. You are pretty awesome, in my book.

Don't look back in ignorance, move forward with knowledge!!

Pugs, I got a pm from Pen too and could not pm back so ill block that person too. I continue to say I think it's great what you learned and what you are doing and there are obviously some nice people here that are willing to help anyone that wants to learn.

Debs~ i watched your video. You are right. The maltease is a great and wounderful pet. As a child that was our family pet. We got him when I was 3 and we had to put him to sleep in my senior year of high school. One of the hrdest things I have ever done. He was such a sweet and loving puppy, who thought we was a maltese falcon, and not a 4.5LB maltese dog.

Sneakers (my cocker spaniel) was my first dog that was mine, as an adult(if you consider 19 an adult)She was my soul connection. She touched my life in so many ways and tought me so many things about life. She was 3 weeks shy of her 12th birthday, and 5 weeks shy of my wedding that I had to put her to sleep. I held her in my arms, told her that i loved her.So many people that where a part of her life were there too. My fiance' (now husband)my mother and friends came to see Sneakers off to the Rainbow Bridge. It took me a long time, about 5 years until I got Pugslee. She is bringing such joy.

But to Debs, and Wiley and lpn and Savanaha and all the others, thank you for you support. I can also understand that in the past you had people come in the forum to just argue. I am sorry that people are like that. I believe that knowledge is power, so I always ask alot of questions. I appreciate everyone for their guidence and answers. I especially appreciate that report Deds, and I promiss I will be taking action.

Yeah i just have to say i am soooo impressed with the way this thread turned itself around. You know we see these kinds of threads all the time and people get offended and it all heads down hill from there with lots of name calling. But you Pugslee "took it like a man" and stopped for a second to see these people were not trying to be mean to you (well at least most of them, there were a few TPjerks as usual) They wanted you to know the hard core facts on pet stores. You had been lied to, which sucks i know, but now you can do something about it and you know better and can spread the word which is what these people were trying to do in the first place. LoL i don't even know you but i can't help but be proud that for once somebody didn't take things the wrong way and start a bash fest!

lovebug~ thanks, but "bashing" and fighting is not my way. nothing positive can be achived that way. one must always keep an open mind and open dialogue. we have one mouth and two ears, so i figure that means we need to listen more, and talk less. but i am really enjoying my time here, and would like to stay, even though i have learned the truth about pet stores really being liars. the is a cozy room. i hope everyone will be ok with that.

I'm so sorry that you got the idea I was trying to hide for some reason. I don't know why I can't receive p.m.'s, but I can assure you there's nothing underhanded going on. I have e-mailed Terrific Pets.com, with the problem, and hopefully will get the problem resolved. The same thing happened when Savannah tried to p.m. me. Please don't block me, either one of you! And if I said anything offensive in the p.m Pugslee, I apologize.

Pugs. SHE's cool. granted I thought she was a HE... but .... LOL Did you try creating a new account? Or re-register your current ID checking to see if you checked of do not allow pm's??? I still say just regester a new ID name if you can. Although I tried that in order to get into chat and it would not allow me to saying the e mail address is already in their system. Do you guys chat???? tried and tried to get in to that but to no avail. :-(

I'm trying to fix this p.m. thing before someone tracks me down, and I get tarred and feathered. Pugslee was really upset, and it looked like I changed my name or something- honestly guys, I don't know whats going on. I did try to re-register, but was told my e-mail address is already in the system. I e-mailed the big guns at admin, and was told it might take 24 hours for a reply. If I spasmodically hit p.m, instead of post reply,(which I think I may have done)
bear with me. I'm a bit of a twit when it comes to computers, so please don't block me. Do you think it has anything to do with living in another country?

No, it's not the Country. Can you log out and re register with the same name you are using, "Pen" just re register it and look at what you have checked off. Did you block all PM's?? Otherwise... just wait for TP to get back to you.
