We've been letting Lucky go natural. The grooming routine has been just nails and a little brushing. But two things make me think maybe we need to be more pro-active.
(1) When my husband saw brittanys at a show a couple weeks ago, he noticed that all the show dogs were carefully clipped to show off the tail. Lucky's hair around his tail is long to the point it's hard to tell how long his "nub" is.
(2) We will be boarding him at the end of this month at a place more "environmentally-diverse" than our small back yard. He's likely to run into burrs and such.
I like his feathering the way it is, and it's not causing any problems so far, but I don't want to cause extra work for the woman who will be looking after him.
