Hi everyone, I just need some advice from some of you. I have noticed that today when my cocker, who is 2 months old made some poopy it was a little red not all of it but like a drop of it after she made her full poop..she has had nothing red and so I assumed it was a little blood..ok after she pooped I picked her up and she seemed fine..I put her on my bed and she pooped a little it was red and loose just a little not much...now I am wondering if this is due to the fact of her food being changed...I have schedule her for a visit with her vet for precaution...she is doing all her normal puppy stuff..she is not foaming at the mouth or showing any signs that there could be something wrong...Mesha is new breed for me..I normally stick with the big dogs...but she is so pretty that I decided to get a cocker..is there anything that I need to know about cockers besides their EAR Infections and their great love for affection and Play. Thanks.. If anyone has experienced anything similar I would like to know...Right now she is currently on vitamins Nutri-Cal..she is eating and drinking fine..sleeping fine so I am not really in panic but somewhat concerned. Thanks again.
I cant tell you that nothing is wrong, being blood, even a little in the stoll isnt normal. Though it may pass with no problems, a trip to the vet is your best bet to make sure she isnt ill. Take a fresh stool sample with you when you go to the appointment.
People are like slinky's, not really good for much. But its still fun to push them down the stairs.
I have had the same thing happen on occasion, with a young dog that has had a food change. The trip to the vet will verify what's going on. In the meantime, make sure the dog has lots of water to drink, and do not over feed her.
