I know that all puppies like to chew on things. It's natural instinct for them but i'm starting to get frustrated at what mine are chewing on!! I have bought them all kinds of toys from ropes to balls to toys with nylon teething spots on them and they still go for my shoes or the edge of the bed or my clothes or more painful ME!! I think it's cute and i don't mind playing with them a letting them chew on me a little but I don't want to form bad habbits!! I don't want them to grow up and think that chewing on all kinds of stuff is okay. What about some of those nylabones?? Or whatever they're called. I'm afraid to get them rawhide at such a young age (8wks) i don't know if that's okay for them yet or not? I want them to chew on their toys and not on my and my stuff!! Any suggestions???
I think we've gone through every kind of chew toy out there! We got our pup some of the puppy nylabones, but as he got older and started teething, he was chewing straight through them and getting off large chunks. Kong makes chew sticks called "ziggies" that are edible and digest easily. Theyre made specifically for puppies teething too. We also have a puppy kong which we put treats and peanut butter in.
I didn't know it was okay for dogs to have p-nut butter! And what exactly are these Kong things? You put the treats inside and they get them?? Maybe that would entertain them for longer than most toys!! I'll look for those chew treats that you suggested, thank you for your help!!! :)
