They are all facing six years in prison. Not enough if you ask me. They fought them dogs to bloody pulps and sometimes to their death. 39 dead dog carcauses ? Should be more like a year minimum for each dog that died at their hands.
If you are a dog and your owner suggests that you wear a sweater, suggest that he wear a tail.
Agreed Dusty, and no problem Mastiff. The only thing is, money talks. I have a hard time believing this man will walk away with anything but a slap on the wrist.
Even regular joe-schmos don't seem to get the punishments that they deserve on these issues. Check out this story from one of the local papers here: http://local.lancasteronline.com/4/206547 He claims he was just trying to supplement his income by breeding the pitbulls, and that the roosters were there because he thought they were "cute." He was found not guilty on the charges. They claim that they will likely retry him, but I doubt anything will come of it.
Leo, I too add my thanks for posting this. I have said before and I will again. There is a special place in hell for anyone who tortures an animal or small child. I hope for once a celebrity gets the darn book thrown at him!! I am so tired of money buying freedom.
Good grief. This is so sickening. Made me cry and mad at the same time!! Those poor pups. He's a damn monster!! (excuse the lingo) Should be put in prisong a year for every dog that died in his monsterous hands. How can you defend that kind of behavior!!! I would like to hand him, or beat him or electocute him...or maybe even slam his body to the ground to kill him!!! That's just unnacceptable!! He needs to be punished severly and made an example of!!! I hate that money talks so loud that it overrides the reason for the punishment!! Look at Paris Hilton....her money talked too......maybe not as loud as Vicks will but she didn't do near the time that you or i would have if that had been us!!!! My heart goes out to those innocent babies that were brutally murdered. God bless them all, and may he have his wrath brought down on Vick. I'll go with that special place in Hell too!!!!!
I'm sure we can all agree that he was in it for the money. So let's hit him where it is important to him - in the pocketbook. These are the companies he gets endorsement money from - please write them a letter and let them know how you feel. They'll start voiding his contracts if they get enough feedback from us - the people that purchase their products.

And did you catch his latest interview at the airport? All of a sudden, he doesn't want publicity. Too late!!1
Ohhh, the last time I checked the paper (which was probably about a week ago) it said only 1 year and/or (not sure which) a 100 million dollar fine or something like that so after reading that 6 years sounds much better but I agree that it really isn't enough. I hope this doesn't end like the paris hilton thing did.
A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself. - Josh Billings
I think they ought to ban him period and everyone connected to him. They do it fast enough if a player gets in an officials face, I know animals can't speak, so I say lets do it for them. Write letters to the sponsors etc. He should never be allowed to participate again. Look at how many kids look up to players like that
I think Mr. Vick and all his little friends should be sent to the Middle East, wherever the most dangerous spot is right now, without weapons, to act as shields for some of the real men, the soldiers who put their lives on the line every day for scum like him. Prison is too good for these bastards. Let's see what a big brave man who likes torturing animals can do about that.
Now I do agree with all of you and I hope this guy burns.. BUT, we do live in America and he IS innocent until proven guilty. He has not yet had his chance in court and already he is being punished. That is NOT fair, nor is it anything our founding fathers based this country on. I think after he's convicted, he ought to be banned from the NFL, whatever else.. what IF he was innocent? And he can't work now?
For the record I do think he's guilty. I just don't find this 'right'.
http://www.ashleyspets.com "A dog is not almost human, and I know of no greater insult to the canine race than to describe it as such.
Riley, you're right, but when animal corpses are found on the guy's property, it does'nt look good. I think we're all just saying what we think of him 'If ' he's guilty. I really hope he's not, but all the evidence is pointing at it.
