I got her when my Grandmother passed away, my Golden rtreiver had just died, and I was dying to have a dog. So I got her a year ago now and she loves my family, 7 siblings and my parents, and we live in town. Our yard is so small she really isn't the happiest dog. She grew up with her brother in the country with only my Gramma. She's a 6 year old, very loyal to family, barks at people she doesn't knw, and is black and tan. She's a little skinny now, but we're trying to get her fatter. When my gammma owned her, she was a litlle too plump. We're getting rid of her because she just needs more room than we have here.
Hmmm.... you won't be able to sell her. I would contact German Shepherd rescue (google it in your area) and let them know you have the dog. Often, if you agree to send them pictures they will post the dog as a "courtesy listing" on their website or petfinder.
A cat by any other name... is still a sneaky little furball who pukes on the sofa.
She is spayed , has rabies vacc. and her other vacc. have just expired. I have called the animal shelters near here, and they told me to look for a home for her. We have had a bad excperience with giving dogs away for nothing. We did that with her brother to some one we thought would be good, and they looked good, if that makes sense, and he has been traded for money so much. This isn't about money, we don't want some one to just take her and sell her for money. We think if they really want her, they will pay for her. I didn't know how to put it other than get rid of her, it doesn't sound good to me either... I'll try to post a picture of her. We tookk her out the country once, to my Grandmothers land, she owned a couple acres, and she was the happiest dog. We just want her to be happy , and she isn't getting that here. We have taken her on walks, but even with that, she just can't settle down. We'll beWe really just want a place for her in the country, on a farm or something.
PferdHorse, do you happen to know the breeder who sold the dog to your grandmother? If you do, contact them, and tell them your situation. You could put ads up in the vet clinic, and at pet food stores, those are free. If I were you I would charge the amount that it wil cost to update her shots and worming, and also have her teeth cleaned. If you can't find someone then contact the German Shepherd Rescue,as already suggested. In the meantime, take her for nice long walks, and play frisbee or ball with her. It sounds like she's not getting enough attention. What would your Grandma think of that?
i would love to give a puppy the greatest home in the universe but i dont make a lot of money:( i dont want a tiny dog or a huge dog... i thought a bulldog would be perfect for me and my 14 year old son... what do you do when you just cant afford the breed you want? i dont know- i understand breeding and the money thing but what ever happened to completing someones life by giving the gift of life (i dont mean FREE) i mean affordable? is there anyone that really cares about finding a good home for their puppies? waiting for a miracle in california...
missingmyharley, this is another post that you have hijacked. No one is going to just give you and English Bulldog. if you do not have the 1800 or more to buy one, then how in the world are you going to be able to pay for everything else that goes along with the dog. Food, vet care, toy, collars, dishes, leashes, etc , etc. Start your OWN thread and quit hijacking others....
If you are a dog and your owner suggests that you wear a sweater, suggest that he wear a tail.
