Mandy hates the dry K/D. She will eat the canned k/d as well as Tina. My vet said it has a good flavor to them and it won't hurt Tina to eat it too if she likes it. They have a treat ball I always keep filled with treats. They ran out of treats last night and we filled it with the k/d. Tina started pushing it with her nose to get the treats to fall out and low and behold Mandy is eating k/d thinking she is getting treats. Chalk one up to mom, put one over on that little smartie pants.
I give them a day before they're tired of the stuff. LMAO.
I have one that will roll the ball around, and the other will follow to pick up the treats. Smart little buggers. I'm watching a friends two schnauzers this week as well... I'm having my maid suit drycleaned. LOL.
Too funny ! Where do you guys get the treat ball ? I bought my kids the kongs and they are only interested in them if i put peanut butter in them, but they are messy to clean. I have heard of the treat balls, just havent seen them anywhere around here.
If you are a dog and your owner suggests that you wear a sweater, suggest that he wear a tail.
I can't remember where I bought it. I bought it a couple of years ago for Max, for Christmas. Tina was the only one that learned to push it with her nose and get the treats out. I don't know if the other two were smart and let her do it or they were too dumb to learn. lol!! Anyway, Tina rolls this thing around every nite and I was surprised when they eat the k/d out of it. I guess they just think its a different kind of treat. At least I'm getting something down them thats good for them.
I think I got my guys treat ball at Valley Vet Supply online. If they don't have them Pet Edge should have them online. But be careful Pet Edge is addictive. They have the cutes little hang up toy for puppies like a crib toy. Wonder how long that sucker would last with terriers.
