my 8 week old cat has been having problems with his bowel movements and seems very uncomfortable and whines. now today i noticed that his butt was inflamed with dried blood around it. sounds gross i know, but what is wrong with poor Oliver?
There are a few things that could be wrong with this cat. How long have you had him? How long has he had this condition? He might have swallowed something that he was playing with,he could be intolerant of what you are feeding him. He could have picked up a bacterial or a viral infection, he most likely has worms, or he could have eaten something poisonous, and yes, he should be wormed.
I had a cat who had the same problem, I thought it was worms but it turned out to be something totally different and very curable ( can't remember the name of what it was) but they put her on a liquid antibotic and it was gone in a week. I'd take your kitten to the vet or call them if money is an issue and ask questions. If you've gone to the vet for awhile, they should be happy to answer questions over the phone for you. Alot of times they will tell you they want to see the kitten because there are many different reasons your cat has a runny stool. Hope the site helped you a little bit! Good luck with your baby!!
