I have never seen so much hypocracy in my life. There are several people that think it's necessary to "BASH" people on this forum on a regular basis. Someone new to this site will never stick around for this sole purpose. Do you guys realize that the rule of no advertising is strictly there to make breeders have to pay to advertise their puppies on this SAME site! I would really like to know why the people on this forum feel that they have the right to bash people for breeding or as you call it "BackYardBreeding" all the time. Yet people don't quote the rules to these people. Is that not bashing? The last time I looked bashing was against the rules too! Calling anyone by a name or being rude and disrespectful to people is in my opinion worse than someone asking if anyone can help them find a dog! Regardless of whether they go to the shelter or pay, every person has the right to "CHOOSE" what kind of pet they get. We are all different...so what if someone whats a boxador? a yorkiepoo? I am just a dog lover that would like to find somewhere to chat about my dogs without having to wade through all the bashing in the process! Please don't make this forum about breeder bashing! I am sure people are tired of it. I am not even a breeder and I am sick of it! To all the people that use this site as a soap box to bash breeders, get over yourself and step down! Are you above the rules? LET THE MODERATORS DO THEIR JOBS! LEAVE PEOPLE ALONE!
I remeber the good ol' days on TP when Breed/ Breeder bashing was allowed.
But Just to fill you in on the scoop. That rule was brought down from the TP God...ADMIN himself, Because all the negative talk of breeders/breeding was slowing the sales of breeding advertisements. We were winning the war, then the man gave us the hammer.
I believe a dog's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment he holds dear, is when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle-with a ball in his mouth."
Look lady, people have the right to speak out against crappy breeding practices such as byb'ers, millers, and petstores. As long as none of their names are mentioned, or their personal information posted. Why do people have to make their first post so dang dramatic. Not hello, my name is so and so and i have these pets ( insert names ). Just jump right in with the butt spanking posts. Good lord, if i need a spanking, i will ask my hubby to do it !
If you are a dog and your owner suggests that you wear a sweater, suggest that he wear a tail.
I know it's early and I'm just drinking my coffee but did I miss something? where's the bashing? I only see passionate people with passionate emotions and feelings expressing themselves on all different threads. I do see people who refuse to read posts by some OP's or refuse to posts responses anyway, I do see groups of people that are friendly within themselves and really do not open themselves up to others, I do see lots of things ALL OF WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY OK, it's called having freedoms.
But sincerely I have yet to see what would be considered mean, horrible, cruel name calling, bashing, or something close to that, not once!!

There is a reason for the division. Admin makes a profit from the paid advertisers. This allows him to provide free postings in the wanted or for sale section and this free forum. There is is no the advertising section. Admin's rules, not anyone else's.
If you have problems with the forum rules or the advertising policies, please contact the site owner/administrator by using the "contact us" link, seen at the bottom of each page.
As for opinions shared, please understand that many folks have no clue what a BYB or puppymill is. They haven't a clue as to the living conditions of the dogs owned by these individuals.
They have no idea what they face with health and temperament of puppies bred under these circumstances. A Large part of the purpose of this forum is to share information and to educate others on areas concerning our pets and their health. As long as there are puppy mills and less than concerned BYBs, people will continue to educate others.
On the flip side, do I think that everyone who is labeled as a BYB necessarily falls into that category? No, but once again, that is MY own, personal opinion.

"Don't accept your dog's admiration as conclusive evidence that you are wonderful".
Luvmypuppies, nobody on this forum has a dislike for the dogs that are being so disgracefully promoted, as a new fangled 'breed'. If you look into what a real BYB is, you will understand the response that many people get, when they unknowingly come on here and talk about their mixed breed designer dog. You have to be able to understand where the animosity is being directed, and why. Noone is disputing the fact that a dog with a mixed pedigree is any less than a purebred. To go out and intentionally exploit the breeds being mixed, and doing it solely for money is wrong. You have to do a bit of research before you can talk about 'breeder bashing'. We should really think of a new title besides BYB for these unscrupulous nimrods passing themselves off as breeders, with their wonderful new breeds.
Luvmypuppies asked,"I would really like to know why the people on this forum feel that they have the right to bash people for breeding or as you call it "BackYardBreeding" all the time. "
Luv, when I first started reading various posts I kept seeing the term BYB. A term , which I've stated before, wasn't probably the best term since it does denote a location instead of lack of reasponsiblity or poor practices.
I personally am a "backyard located breeder who does it for a hobby with effort given to be responsible" breeder...but that gets a little drawn out.
They tell me I'm actually a Hobby breeder.
Your question asks by what "right"?
From what I can tell the responses found on this forum by it's members are a genuine effort to bring an awareness and educate others about the existance of breeding practices that are in their opinion wrong.
The "right" you've inquired about is the "right" we all have to stand up for what we believe to be wrong.
We may not all agree nor may we all be correct but we all have a right to follow our conscience.
The only purpose of life is the very moment you currently occupy. Dogs understand this....
I was forced to! Forced to endure the constant whinning from people who don't get the answers they are seeking when they post. Sorry I don't support backyard breeders who make excuses why they don't do health testing. I won't and you can't make me no matter how much you whine!
