I am trying to arrange a breed walk in my area. A BSL breed walk specifically. BSL has not hit here yet except within communities, but I fear that something is going to happen soon, especially with Ingrid Newkirk breathing down everyone's neck. And this would not be just for my area, but for all over the country. I want to do this to raise money for a certain charity that I haven't chosen yet, and to raise awareness.
I am keeping in mind dog aggression, and having that many dogs around one another. I have, however, seen 'bully walks', so I know it is possible.
How do I go about starting this? What rules should I set so that no one or pup gets hurt? What organization involving these breeds needs it most right now? And if I pull this through, where do I promote it before-hand?
I express myself through body modification and loud opinions. Please step aside.
Do you know anyone involved in the bully walks? Flyers, opinion polls, friends who think the same way, start phoning around, it'll snowball. The phone is my best friend; so if you get on it you'll soon get results. What area are you in?
On October 20 they're having a national pit bull awareness day where people can become familiar with pit bulls and see that they are great dogs with responsible people. People don't have to fall for all the myths and bad publicity that plague pit bulls. Here's some info on how to organize an awareness day in your area. http://www.blessthebullys.com/id86.html
