I was talking to a family at Petsmart a few weeks back. Their kids were playing with Faeden, and they mentioned that they had a mini goldendoodle. They told me that she just looked more like a small white poodle. I haven't ever seen one personally that I can remember.
It stands to reason when we live in a society off all these choices, people will continue to breed these designer dogs. So people can think they are being different by owning over price mixed breed dogs we called mutts growing up. So we can say "Looky what I got, I got something no one else has, I am soooo different"
When I was growing up we had Coke, just plain old Coke. If we wanted a cherry Coke or a Vanilla Coke, we went down to the local soda fountain or Dairy Queen where they put in a shot of cherry or vanilla syrup. We didn't have 20 different choices of favors of Cokes. Diet Coke, Diet Coke with lemon, Diet Coke with Lime, Diet Coke with vitamins, Cherry Coke, Vanilla Coke, Diet Cherry Coke, Diet Vanilla Coke, Cherry Vanilla Coke, Diet Cherry Vanilla Coke, the list goes on and on. We had M&M's plain and Peanut. We did not have mint, peanut butter, almond, dark chocolate, super sized, etc, etc. I think we humans have to many extremes in every facet of our lives. Yes having choices is good, but I think having too many choices it bad. Life needs to be simple. And we need to start addressing these designer dogs for what they are, over priced mixed breed mutts. JMO
He's your friend, your partner, your defender your dog.You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours faithful and true to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to worthy of such devotion
I hope sometime in the near future the designer dog/mutt stage ends. I find it very sad that "some" people are just pretty much taking any dogs breeding them and giving the breed a cutsy name all to get $$$$$$$$$$. Of course I'm sure some are actually trying to be developed by people with serious goals but most are NOT.

I went to the mall with my grandma and we were in bath and body works, and their was a lady walking her labroodle in the store, I went to go pet the dog and it was really sweet, I had never heard of that breed before, it's not the greatest looking minx, but it's still cute, but I just don't get why people are experimenting these types of breeds by breeding them together, what about all those health issues and stuff.
Given that poodles come in toy, miniature, and standard, it stands to reason that you could get different sized doodles by using different sized poodles.
I know a doodle who was probably the result of breeding a miniature poodle to a retriever. The family that owns him adopted him from a shelter, so there's no way to know for sure. This dog is just like every other doodle I've met, just somewhat smaller.
Personally, doodles drive me bat poop, and I wouldn't live with one, even if someone were going to pay me to do so.
