Unfortunetly, not yet, but her belly has been rock hard for a couple of hours now....Hopefully tonight, my best friend and I are taking turns on puppy watch tonight, so wish us luck and I will keep you posted....
is she even having contractions? Rock hard belly is only pups moved back into position. Heavy panting is good, temp down is good, but she must have contractions and you will clearly know when they begin.
Just checked her temp it is 99.2 - I honestly stopped taking it because it didn't seem to be working for us... But she is heavily panting, but I haven't seen any contractions. Her belly is really hard though and is and has been staying that way.
Hi, I tried to explain that the belly being "hard" is only because the pups have moved back into position and bodies of the babies are now poking outward, hard to explain but it makes the belly feel "hard" as you are trying to describe.
Temperature does work though it fluctuates. Don't get frustrated. Doing fine so far. You will know when its time, it's very easy, contractions begin. Try and get a few hours sleep, there's no reason you should not if you have someone to help you out. Sleep for you is also important. If she's not nesting, not contracting, not doing anything you're ok but to ensure she is watched by someone if you are going to get a few hours shut eye.
Normally when my girls have a contraction, the nose goes up into the air and the tail goes down. You can obviously see the side of the dog contracting. I know you are nervous, but you will know, Trust us.
