I just noticed that Bella's left eye was a little runny and she is blinking it a lot. Unfortunately she will not calm down enough for me to get a look at it (she doesn't calm down for any type of 'exam'). I can tell that the white around it is much redder than the other eye and she keeps rubbing at it with her paw. I'd like to hope that she just has a hair in it and that it will fixx itself in the morning, but are there any major signs I should look for to take her into the vet if it doesn't?
There is now a white (I don't know what to call it - inner eyelid? lining? that is showing on the inner corner of her eye. I tried the warm wash cloth and that seems to make the white part show up even more. What could be wrong? Is this serious? Do I need to take her into the emergency vet?
The danger of the frog depends on what kind of frog it is. I know they have some that are deadly to dogs in Florida. I don't know about other parts of the country. Might be worth at least putting in a call to the vet. Don't go to the emergency vet unless you absolutely have to. I just call my regular vet, if thinks the situation warrents a visit, he meets me at his office.
