i still dont have a dog yet but im still hoping to get one soon i wouild like to talk to some one that knows about labradoodles i been hearing a lot about them how big do they get what is the price range for one i want to get my next dog from the shelter
As someone that has worked with the Labrador Retriever for many many years I would kindly and respectfully ask you to reconsider. This is nothing more then a "designer" dog, 2 breeds put together for the money. Each breed of dog has their own genetic problems and ensuring you address these and find a good breeder is of the utmost importance. It's a disaster waiting to happen.
IF you are looking for a breed of dog becuase you have allergies (one of the reasons the 1st generation Labradoodle became popular) there are numerous other wonderful breeds that do not have the dander. Many on this forum can recommend other breeds.
Thank you for thinking about this.
Also, if you are looking for a mixed breed, please go to the shelter and rescue a wonderful puppy or dog. They also need homes and love and will give you just as much as a designer dog "labradoodle" would.
Some of them were $300 to adopt so you might want to look at that if you have a budget. But the ones I read were already spayed/neutered or the cost will help cover it. They are cute! They do look like they can get big, at least one puppy was already 25 lbs at 5mths old!
