Ugh, I know it's going to suck. I already have all of the prescriptions that I'm going to need to take - now I just have to ask the pharmacist if they come in liquid form. I just don't get why they would prescribe 3 different pills for tonsils if you have to swallow them through the painful part of your body.
Good luck with your pending surgery! My tonsils were removed when I was 8 or 9. The tonsil removal wasn't a problem. I didn't enjoy the recovery though. I couldn't go outside or play with animals. It was the worst summer of my life, lol!
There was one sorta big mishap, but probably not very common.
I kinda wish I were able to keep my tonsils in a jar too (at least for a little while anyway).
Some cultures eat body parts to make them a stronger person. YUCK..
I had mine out at 4, my kids all had to have theirs out. I know its a little more serious, but they have much much better meds than they used to as well as better pain medicine. I think you are going to find you will recover sooner than you think.
My daughter 4 had hers taken out earlier this year along with her adnoids. She smelt horrible for about 3 weeks. Not kidding i couldn't even get within 2 feet of her and get nautious (i know what a great mommy :o))
Who would want to keep some guys nuts in a jar? Lmao, that would be a great "show n tell". can you imagine the story behind that one?
I thought they were man nuts, because we were talking about how man nuts work and she said she would get me some. But Last night I talked to her and was asking her about them and she said doggy nuts. But hey nuts are nuts.
I'm gonna trade this life for fortune and fame I'd even cut my hair and change my name
age - Carded all the time - hate it!!! my husband is actually 5 years younger than me, when we went to the movies to see passion of the christ i figured i wouldn't need my id because i wasn't driving....well...i was wrong. They had him show them HIS id to make sure that he was old enough to vouch as my guardian for the movie. I was a little more than irritated that day. Another time I went to a bar and they actually thought that my license was fake - the called over the cops that were parked outside and they looked at it and said "Tell whoever made that for you that they did a good job" my response was, "I'll be sure to send the State of Connecticut a nice letter letting them know that you're impressed with their product. Shall I include your name and badge number?" Yeah, he wasn't too happy with me after that but who cares.
Surgery - yep, when i was 26 I had surgery when I donated one of my kidneys. believe it or not, I'm actually more afraid of the tonsil surgery. Maybe because I'm older, who knows.
