Just like humans, labor will be different for each dog and for each breeding. No set rules for that one. But do not let a dog go too long in hard labor without producing a pup. It is a sure sign of a problem. It is always best to alert the vet when the female begins labor, so if a problem arises they will be expecting a call.

the dog had her pups last night 8 little beagles!!!! i wish i could see them but with my line of work i am no where close to home :( i will see them around christmas they won't be so little then though :(

Wow, they'll be 4 months before you get to see them! Maybe your significant other could send you pic of them, then you can share them with us!! We have a couple show beagles ourselves, they are the cutest darn puppies!
People are like slinky's, not really good for much. But its still fun to push them down the stairs.
