You can also register your dog with CKC.If you call the CKC tell them your situation and they will tell how to go about getting the papers. The link below is the contact info and the website for the CKC.Hope you get your dog registered:)
khyorkies, they said they did not want a bogus registry. Sorry but CKC is one. First off, if you would have checked with the AKC you would have known that the Pit Bull is not an AKC recognized breed. You could go with the United Kennel Club, but you still must provide a certified 3 generation pedigree for your pups. I doubt the guy you got your pup from can provide you with this. Looks like you need to spay or neuter you new pet. Just enjoy the dog.
He's your friend, your partner, your defender your dog.You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours faithful and true to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to worthy of such devotion
This would be the Continental Kennel Club, they will literally regester anything. I know people who have pits regester as labs with them so they could keep them after BSL. It is not a reputable regestering agency. There is no way, or reason to regester your dog. Unless you would like to compeate in obediance, then once altered you can get ILR (I think) for him.
The AKC does not register American Pit Bull Terriers, only American Staffordshire Terriers (originally started as a more politically correct name to separate them from their dog fighting heritage, though the original dog fights took place in Staffordshire!) Check out the UKC and the ADBA. Get as much information as you can from the breeder and your dog's lineage. Read the information on these sites (especially the ADBA, which was the original Pit Bull registry) to see if they can assist you with registering your puppy. I'm not guaranteeing that they will - for what you're asking, these are the two registries to talk to.
