I was ready through the paper as always and also just like always there was a puppymill dog auction ad in there. There are going to be two Italian Greyhound puppies that it said their ears had been chewed off by another dog. I just cant imagine the poor babies and nobody will want them because of their ears and give them kisses and sweet warm snuggy beds. I want so badly to go rescue them. I have such a soft spot for neglected Iggies and cant stand to think what might happen to them if nobody takes them. I know that some have mixed feelings about rescuing dogs from the auctions so I am braced for them. I am really considering going there just to take them home and love on them the way they should be. I know if I dont go I will always wonder what became of them and it will haunt me. I just know they will be so scared and I will probably cry when I see them. As far as lining the pockets of the millers I dont think will be much because of their condition especially the little boy. I know they would be greatful.
Sadly, the millers do not care what their ears look like as long as they can breed them, They are puppies, so some lowlife scummy miller will pick them up for a song, and breed them to death. If you go and get them, then you would really be rescuing them. And from the hands of people that would not be taking them to a warm, comfortable home, with lots of food, treats, cuddles and kisses. You may be their only chance of ever having that kind of life. I say, go get them.
If you are a dog and your owner suggests that you wear a sweater, suggest that he wear a tail.
